Where to promote your membership site and where you can use your membership site pitch.
One very common place is at the end of videos, such as videos on YouTube. Many creators will have a quick pitch at the end of their video to promote the video sponsor or their own membership site, online course, book, podcast, or merchandise. Go watch a variety of YouTube creators and see how they pitch their digital products for sale. You’ll see that the pitch is often quick, straightforward, and delivered smoothly.
Now, you may get the opportunity to promote your membership site if you’re speaking on a podcast – whether it’s on your own podcast or as a guest speaker. Or, if you’re hosting or guest speaking on a webinar, you may get the chance to promote yourself. Practicing your pitch is key so you can deliver it effortlessly.
You can also pitch in your own blog posts. Since these are written, you can experiment with the wording instead of using the same pitch every time.
How to convert leads into members
To get people to join your membership site, you may want to try some other strategies to attract members and build demand. These can help you convert the people who may check out your website or landing page after hearing your pitch, or generate repeat sales.
Create a waiting list to attract new members
You could create a waiting list. If you’re creating a new membership, a waiting list can help you build a list of prospects before you launch. To do this, build your website, and post a “coming soon” message on the home page. Then direct people to a form where they can sign up to be notified when you’re ready to accept members.
